Please keep your behavior and language civil. Amateur radio is a fun hobby for all, including younger folks. About Me

Without retyping all my QRZ profile - I'm a Technician operator and got my ticket April 20th 2021. I am the first and only one in my family to become a ham.

I operate on VHF, UHF, DMR, CQ100 (QsoNet), EchoLink, D-STAR, Zello, The Peanut (PA7LIM), and whatever I'm forgetting.

DMR BrandMeister # 3181125
EchoLink Node #723708 K9ATS
Zello Contact - K9ATS

My QTH is Bedford, Indiana.

My original callsign KD9SMB was retired July 16, 2021.

My vanity callsign K9ATS spells out KATS (i.e. Cats) intentionally, and I kept my call region 9 number.

Yes I have always had a pet cat, currently three cats (Salem, Sissy, Stormie). I had one cat and he needed a companion, and the third came about as a emergency rescue. The K9 aspect works too as I have a Shih-Tzu dog named Shelly.
