The Welcome Net Project

The purpose of The Welcome Net Project is to help further introduce new and newly-licensed individuals to our wonderful world of amateur radio by providing basic operating information not covered in most license study guides. Our goal is to enable learning by doing, growing the number of active members of the amateur radio community.

This web site promotes the use of our Welcome Net protocol to provide an on-air meeting platform where new hams can introduce themselves to their local amateur radio community. We also use this web site to provide information helping newly licensed hams feel more comfortable interacting with more experienced hams.
