I'm Bill McDonald, I'm 65, but got my license 27 years ago, was on the air for about 6 months, then gone. But I'm really excited to be back. My brother in law, Kev, KD9TYY, come over with his radio and within a week I had a brand new Yeasu FT-70D in my hot little hand. I want to try wires x, I'm anxious to build a 70cm/2 meter antenna, and love listening to the air bands, and would like to get better at the police bands.
